An illustration for the Parkway Tavern, celebrating 77 years in business. Cheers!
A graphic for Mt. Baker Ski Area’s 2012/2013 retail shop. This graphic, sold in the White Salmon lodge, is a tribute to Amy Howat, daughter of long-time General Manager, Duncan Howat. Amy, along with her family are the roots of one of the most famous Ski Resorts in the world. Amy was a World Champion in the 80′s and even won the Legendary Banked Slalom, one of snowboarding’s oldest and most ‘core’ competitions in 1990.
This particular graphic takes hints from two posters from the late 80′s and early 90′s. The type from this graphic was taken from a Mt. Baker Ski Area poster from 1989. The image of Amy tweaking a sweet tindy grab was from a sponsored poster of her getting air in her bug-eyed “Barracuda Optics” promotional poster from the early 90′s. Amy has been a great part of the foundation of modern snowboarding.
A graphic for Casual Industrees, a lifestyle clothing company out of West Seattle, representing those who work under. Their Northwest roots have received a lot of love the past 13 years. Carried nationwide in stores like Nordstrom and Zumiez, the ever-growing Casual has kept their core values strong as the World’s first Multi-Hundred Dollar Company. Still operated out of the owner’s basement, the company strives to create relatable clothing without over-branding.
I’m very excited to work with this team. I’ve never worked so hard yet had so much fun at the same time. Casual Industrees takes the phrase “Do what you love” to the next level.
